Jackie & Craig, the owners of Clarets Restaurant, arrived in Tenerife on the 15th of June 2001 to succeed the previous management. Officially taking over on the 1st of August the couple had discovered the restaurant on an exploratory visit to tenerife in the previous march, they fell in love with the place and decided to make that all important move.
Clarets is one of the oldest restaurants in the south of Tenerife. Originally the building belonged to a banana and tomato plantation before the development of the pretty village of Chayofa, so it is quite unique to the area. The restaurant has in its time been operated by various nationalities, providing different cuisines. But now we pride ourselves on our quality of food and service and we are now recognised as one of the best restaurants in Tenerife.
Clarets offer live entertainment (subject to time of year) and a dance floor to dance the night away. They also have a resident tabletop magician (wednesdays 7:30pm) ideal for the younger diners. When you book at Clarets Restaurant, you may request a dance floor table or if preferred a quieter table a little further back. From a pre-dinner drink in the bar area to a 3-course meal served by waiters and bar staff to a luxury coffee or brandy at your table or in the lounge area.
