Description: French restaurant with traditional french food. Jaques, the owner has been serving these fine dishes in Tenerife since 1974. French specialities like the succulent gratinated onion soup, or the chicken a l'Arlesienne. A wide offer of homemade deserts in a very familiar and cosy ambient.

An excellent restaurant that serves delicious food. Been frequenting this place for nearly 20 years and the high standards have, thanlkfully, been maintained. Would recommend the chickem arlesienne, it's particularly good!

cuando un restaurante sobrevive al tiempo...mucho tiempo... por algo es... la calidad de sus platillos...una carta no muy extensa.pero la que tienen esta realmente rico... la quiche lorraine riquisima..la tarta de cebollas mejor aun, si cabe,.. el solomillo de lo mejor , acompañado de sus salsas..la de champiñones riquisima..y la bernesa buenisima.... los postres de los mejores de la isla..caseros y golosos..... abren
temprano..solo cenas....

I have visited El Sol on numerous occasions over the years and the standard of food has remained high. The staff are very friendly and I would recommend the house speciality of Chicken L'Arlisienne, it's excellent!

El Sol o Chez Jaques es un restaurante que lleva muchos años aquí. Casi que no necesita presentación. Mi mujer y yo vamos mucho y siempre estamos muy bien venidos. La carta tiene tentaciones, pero casi siempre me tiro por el solomillo. Es el solomillo más tierno y jugoso... Ya sabes ¡probarlo! se encuentra en la zona peatonal en los Cristianos.

Nicola Picciau was born in Milan in 1978, and from an early age he displayed a passion for cooking and working in kitchens, as was the family tradition, inherited from their ancestors. He first learnt his cooking skills from his Grandmother's farm in Sardinia, where he kept his large family happy with various Mediterranean recipes.
